This guide covers setting up the Move 4K with network video streaming in more detail. Use this if you need to configure streaming protocols, set up multi-destination streaming, or integrate with network-based control systems.

  • 12V DC power supply (included) or PoE+ switch/injector
  • A network switch or router
  • A computer on the same network

Step 1: Connect the Ethernet Cable​

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable from the camera's LAN port to a network switch or router.

If your switch supports PoE+ (802.3at), this single Ethernet cable provides power, video, and control simultaneously.

Step 2: Power the Camera​

Choose one of the following power methods:

Option A: Power over Ethernet (PoE+)​

If your switch or injector supports PoE+, the camera powers on automatically when you connect the Ethernet cable.

⚠️PoE+ required

Ensure your switch or injector supports PoE+ (802.3at), not just PoE (802.3af).

Option B: 12V DC Power Supply​

If you're using a non-PoE switch or connecting directly to a router:

  1. Connect the included 12V DC power supply to the camera's DC input.
  2. Plug the power supply into a standard wall outlet.

Step 3: Wait for the Camera to Boot​

Once powered, the camera performs a startup sequence:

Self-calibration β€” The camera moves through its full range of motion. This is normal.
2️⃣
Home position β€” The camera returns to Preset 0 (Home).
3️⃣
Ready β€” The front LED turns solid green. The camera has requested an IP address from your DHCP server.

Step 4: Find the Camera on Your Network​

The Move 4K supports mDNS, so you can reach it by hostname without knowing the IP address.

  1. Open a web browser on any device connected to the same network.
  2. Type the following address and press Enter:

  1. You will be prompted to set up a username and password on first login.
    • Username: admin
    • Create a strong password.

Give each camera a unique Device ID from the web interface's Device Info tab. Then reach each camera by its ID: http://camera-one.local, http://camera-two.local, etc.

Step 5: Configure Streaming Protocols​

The Move 4K supports multiple streaming protocols. Choose the one that matches your workflow:

Best for: Pulling a stream into OBS, vMix, VLC, or a recording server.

  • Low latency
  • Pull-based (your software requests the stream)
  • URL format: rtsp://<camera-ip>/stream1

πŸ“Ί RTMP / RTMPS​

Best for: Pushing directly to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, or a custom RTMP server.

  • Push-based (camera sends the stream)
  • RTMPS adds encryption
  • Configure destination URL and stream key in the web interface

🎬 NDI|HX​

Best for: Live production workflows with NDI-compatible software (vMix, OBS with NDI plugin, NewTek TriCaster).

  • Low latency, high quality
  • Discoverable on the network automatically
  • Requires NDI Tools installed on receiving devices

How to Configure Streaming​

  1. Log into the web interface.
  2. Navigate to Audio & Video or Streaming settings.
  3. Select your protocol and enter the required destination information.
  4. Click Apply to start streaming.

The Move 4K can stream to multiple destinations simultaneously. For example, you can push an RTMP stream to YouTube while also making an RTSP stream available for local recording.

Step 6: Network Control​

The camera supports several network-based control protocols:

Using VISCA over IP​

Most PTZ joysticks and control systems support VISCA over IP. To connect:

  1. Ensure the camera and controller are on the same network.
  2. Configure your controller with the camera's IP address and port 5678 (TCP) or 1259 (UDP).
  3. Set the protocol to VISCA over IP.
  4. Test pan, tilt, and zoom from the controller.

Using ONVIF​

For integration with security systems or VMS platforms:

  1. Ensure ONVIF is enabled in the camera's network settings.
  2. Use the camera's IP address, port 80, and admin credentials in your ONVIF client.
  3. The camera will appear as an ONVIF-compliant PTZ device.

Step 7: Save Your First Preset​

  1. Move the camera to your desired position using the web interface or your control system.
  2. Click Set in the Preset Control section.
  3. Enter a preset number and press Enter.

A preset saves both the camera position and all image settings. Calling a preset restores both.
